Terms
Trips by Toro is free to use. These are the terms you accept by using it.
What this is
A planner for your own trips. You enter your hotels, transport, activities and costs, and it organises them into a timeline and points out gaps — an unbooked night, a missing journey between two cities, a tight connection.
It is not a booking service. It does not sell flights or accommodation, does not connect to any airline or hotel, does not take payments and never holds your money. Anything you have booked, you booked somewhere else, and that booking is between you and them.
Your data is yours, and so is keeping it
Your trips are stored in your browser, not on a server (see privacy). The consequence is worth stating clearly rather than leaving you to discover it: if you clear your browser data, or lose the device, the trips on it are gone, and there is no backup we can restore from. We never had a copy.
The app gives you two ways to keep one — exporting a file, and auto-saving to a file you choose — and tells you in the trip header when neither is in use. Using them is your responsibility, not the app’s.
The checks are a second pair of eyes, not a guarantee
The planner flags things that look wrong: a night with no accommodation, two stays that overlap, no transport booked between two cities, a passport expiring close to travel. It finds these by comparing what you have entered against itself.
It can only ever be as right as what you typed in, and it does not know about anything you have not entered. It does not check visa requirements, entry rules, vaccination requirements, airline policies, or whether a booking is real. “No issues” means nothing inconsistent was found in your own data — it is not confirmation that your travel plans will work. Check anything that matters with the airline, the hotel, or the relevant authority.
Money and currencies
Where a cost is in another currency, the app converts it using an exchange rate you enter yourself. It does not fetch live rates and never invents one. Totals and who-owes-what are arithmetic on the numbers you provided, for your own planning, and are not a financial statement.
No warranty
The app is provided as it is, free, with no guarantee that it will be available, error free, or fit for any particular trip. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for losses arising from using it — including missed bookings, lost data, or a trip that did not go to plan. That is the ordinary trade for something free that runs entirely on your own device.
Fair use
Use it for planning your own travel. Do not use it to break the law, and do not attempt to disrupt the service for other people. Since there is no account, there is nothing to suspend — but the contact form is rate limited, and abusing it will simply stop working.
Changes
These terms may change as the app does. The version on this page is the one that applies.
Anything unclear here can go through the contact form.
